Stock Market rebounds, as All Share Index gains 0.21%, Thursday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian stock exchange on Thursday closed positive as the All Share Index gained 0.21% closing at 36,688.91 points as against the previous close of 36,612.83 points.

Market capitalisation closed at 13.392trillion, advancing by 0.97% from the previous close of N13.263 trillion, thereby gaining N129 billion

Volume of traded stocks appreciated by 33.40% closing at 320.5 million units; while value declined by 29.14% to close at N3.53 billion.

Market Breadth

23 stocks closed positive against 16 that closed negative, bringing the market breadth to a positive round off.

Percentage Gainers

Portland paint PLC led other percentage gainers closing 9.76% above the previous close of N2.05 to settle at N2.25

UAC Property grew 9.68%, LASACO and Trans-Nationwide Express gained 9.09% and 8.33% of their share prices ahead of other 19 stocks on the gainers’ chart

Percentage Losers

Secure Electronic Tech tops the losers’ chart losing 10.00% of its share price. This is followed by Flour Mills and OANDO both shedding 5.40% and 4.27 % respectively.

Volume Drivers

NAHCO traded 36.153 million units of its shares, as the highest traded volume of stock for the day.

UBA traded about 28.729 million units of its shares in 147 deals, valued at about N270.961 million.
