The Nigerian Bourse resumes the week on a positive note, making it the third straight gains in succession as the All Share Index grew 0.88%, closing at 33,196.07 points from the previous close of 32,907.33 points on Friday.
Market capitalisation closed at N12.119 trillion, advancing by 0.87% from the previous close of N12.014 trillion, shedding N105 billion.
Volume of traded stocks dropped by 46.31% closing at 150.5 million units while the value of traded stocks soared by 46.66%, to close at N2.8 billion.
Market Breadth
There was a balanced breadth at the close of the day’s trading session as 17 stocks gained against 17 that lost.
Percentage Gainers
Consolidated Hallmark Insurance led other percentage gainers, closing 10.00% above its previous close of N0.30 to settle at N0.33. This is followed by LASACO, which grew 6.67% STANBIC, WAPIC and GUARANTY also closed the day above 4% of their share prices
Percentage Losers
Unity Bank, Diamond Bank and Royal Exchange shed 10.00%, 9.72% and 9.09% respectively to lead others 14 stocks on the losers chart
Volume Drivers
Zenith Bank traded the highest volume of about 28.4 million units of its shares in 204 deals, valued at about N960million.
Guaranty also traded about 28.2 million units of its shares in 254 deals, worth about N1billion.
