Unilever led 9 other gainers as market sheds more weight

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday closed in red as the All Share Index drops further by 0.73% to close at 30,099.83 points from the previous close of 30,322.19 points on Monday.

Market capitalisation closed at N13.256 trillion, shedding N98 billion from the previous close of N13.354 trillion.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 233.45 million units, valued at N3.52 billion in 3,169 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 10 stocks gained while 15 stocks declined in their share prices.

 

Percentage Gainers

Unilever Nigeria Plc with 8.22% growth led other gainers to close at N30.95 from the previous close of N28.60.

ABC Transport and Jaiz Bank among other price gainers also grew their share prices by 7.14% and 4.35% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Sovereign Trust Insurance, Japaul Oil and Dangote Sugar among other price decliners shed their share prices by 8.00%, 7.41% and 4.35%.

Volume Drivers

  • MTN Nigeria traded about 11.14 million units of its share price in 200 deals, valued at N1.51 billion.
  • Zenith Bank traded about 28.16 million units of its share price in 317 deals, valued at N566.5million.
