NSEASI slides 0.86%, Thursday

The Nigerian Bourse on Thursday closed in red as the All Share Index declined by 0.86% to close at 31,692.63 points against the previous close of 31,967.01 points.

Market capitalisation declined by 0.86% to close at N11.576 trillion against the previous close of N11.677 trillion on Monday, shedding N101bn.

Volume and Value of traded stocks declined by 36.75% and 49.78% to close at 452.26 million units and N2.6 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 30 stocks gained against 16 stocks that lost

Percentage Gainers

Conoil, Mutual Benefit Assurance and NPF Microfinance Bank, with 10% growth led other gainers to close at N23.10, N0.22 and N1.65 respectively.

Forte Oil, Transcorp, Diamond Bank, Learn Africa, Carverton and Law Union & Rock Insurance grew 9.92%, 9.84%, 9.70%, 9.42%, 9.24% and 9.09% respectively among other stocks on the gainers’ chart.

Percentage Losers

UACN tops the percentage losers’ chart, shedding 10% of its share price to close at N10.80 from the previous close of N12.00

NEM Insurance, Niger Insurance and Wema Bank shed 9.15, 8.33 and 8.20% respectively among others on the losers’ chart.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 27.93 million units of its shares in 274 deals, valued at about N646.2 million
