Nigerian Bourse closes 0.13% lower, sheds N17bn

 

The Nigerian equities market on Thursday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index declined by 0.13% to close at 27,646.15 points against the previous close of 27,681.61 points on Wednesday.

Market Capitalisation closed at N13.458 trillion, shedding N17 billion from the previous close of N13.475 trillion on Wednesday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 245.4 million units, valued at N1.67 billion in 3,450 deals.

Market Breadth

Market Breadth closed positive as 23 stocks gained while 16 declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Consolidated Hallmark Insurance led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N0.33 form the previous close of N0.30.

UACN, Linkage Assurance, Continental Reinsurance, and PZ among others also grew their share prices by 9.93%, 9.80%, 9.79% and 9.30% respectively.

Percentage Losers

University Press and Neimeth among others shed their share prices by 8.70% and 8.33% respectively.

Volume Drivers

FBNH traded about 71.52 million units of its shares in 385 deals, valued at N390 million.
