NSEASI dips further, closes 1.63% lower

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Thursday closed in red as the All Share Index shed dropped by 1.63% to close at 31,718.70 points against the previous close of 32,244.24 points on Wednesday.

Market Capitalisation shed N196 billion to close at N11.828 trillion the previous close of N12.024 trillion on Wednesday.

 

The aggregate volume and value of traded stocks closed at 411.69 million units and N5.27 billion respectively in 5,320 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 9 stocks gained against 30 stocks that lost.

Percentage Gainers

Livestock Feeds with 7.94% growth led the percentage gainers to close at N0.68 from the previous close of N0.63.

Union Diagnostics, UAC Property, Veritas Kapital and GSK grew their share prices by 7.14%, 4.95%, 4.35% and 3.00% respectively.

Jaiz Bank, Dangote Cement, UCAP and Union Bank also gained 1.56%, 1.45%, 0.95% and 0.72% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Oando tops the losers’ chart with 9.92% price decline to close at N5.90. FCMB, Dangote Flour and Japaul Oil also shed 9.78%, 8.79% and 8.33% of their share prices respectively among other price decliners.

Volume Drivers

Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 44.62 million units of its shares in 314 deals valued at N1.64 billion.
