Nigerian Bourse rebounds as it closes 0.25% higher, Wednesday

The Nigerian equities market on Wednesday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index rose by 0.25% to close 26,310.77 points from the previous close of 26,244.39 points on Tuesday.

Market Capitalisation closed at N12.808 trillion, gaining N32 billion from the previous close of N12.776 trillion on Tuesday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 156.85 million units, valued at N1.8 billion in 3,088 deals.

 

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 8 stocks gained while 11 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

University Press Plc led the gainers’ list with 10% growth, closing at N1.21 from the previous close of N1.1.

Law Union & Rock Insurance and UACN among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.89% and 7.75%.

Percentage Losers

Afromedia Plc and Flour Mills of Nigeria among other price decliners shed their share prices by 9.76% and 9.68% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 14.5 million units of its shares in 394 deals, valued at N245.8 million.
