Learn Africa led other 26 stocks to help the bourse stay 0.86% afloat

 

The Nigerian Bourse on Wednesday extended gains from the previous trading session as the All Share Index rose 0.86 percent to close at 40,846.24 points.

As a result, investors gained about N125 billion as market capitalisation advanced to N14.754 trillion.

Value of traded stocks grew by 26.59% settling at N5.33billion against the previous close of N4.21billion.

Market Breadth

27 stocks closed positive against 19 that lost, bringing the market breadth to a positive round off.

Percentage Gainers

Learn Africa led other percentage gainers closing 9.43% above the previous close of N1.06, to settle at N1.16. Unity Bank grew 8.7%, Mobil grew 7.56% and Japaul Oil grew 7.55% ahead other stocks like Honeywell Flour, Africa Prudential and International Breweries.

Percentage Losers

C&I Leasing tops the losers’ chart losing 9.40% of its share price, while Redstar Express and Beta Glass both shed 5% and 4.95% respectively.

The most actively traded stocks of the day is Zenith Bank, trading about 100.6million units of its shares in 652 deals, worth about N2.65 billion.
