Forte Oil again shines among other stocks, despite market decline of 0.12%

The Nigerian Bourse on Wednesday closed negative as the All Share Index declined by 0.12% to settle at 40755.73 points against the previous close of 40,802.78 points shedding about 47.05 points.

Market capitalisation declined to N14.722 trillion from the previous close of N14.740 trillion implying a loss of about N18 billion by investors.

The volume and value of traded stocks advanced by 42.34% and 42.93% to settle at 350.98 million units and N4.6 billion respectively in 5020 deals.

Market Breadth

24 stocks closed positive against 23 that lost bringing the market breadth to a positive round off

Percentage Gainers

Forte Oil again led other percentage gainers closing 10.16% above the previous close of N43.3 on Tuesday, to settle at N47.7. Presco Plc grew 5%, Nestle grew 4.99% and AIICO Insurance grew 4.35% ahead other stocks like VERITASKAP, Linkage Assurance and Livestock Feeds Plc.

Percentage Losers

FBNH tops the losers’ chart losing 8.96% of its share price while Skye Bank and Oando both shed 5.75% and 4.92% respectively.
The most actively traded stock for the day is FBNH, though it shed 8.96% of its share price. FBNH traded about 80million units of its shares in 753 deals, worth about N1.01 billion.
