The Nigerian equities market on Wednesday maintains an upward trend as it closed 0.76% higher. The All Share Index grew by 0.76% to close at 29,970.86 points from the previous close of 29,746.24 points on Tuesday.
The Market Capitalization closed at N11.257 trillion, gaining about N84 billion against the previous close of N11.173 trillion on Tuesday.
Aggregate volume and value of traded stocks closed at 216 million units and N3.23billion in 4,025 deals.
Market Breadth
The market breadth closed negative as 16 stocks gained while 17 stocks lost.
Percentage Gainers
Access Bank Plc with 9.92% growth led other gainers to close at N6.65 from the previous close of N6.05.
Chams Plc, First Aluminium and AG Leventis among others also grew their share prices by 9.09%, 8.57% and 7.69% respectively among others on the gainers’ list.
Percentage Losers
Trans-Nationwide Express, UAC Properties and ABC Transport among other price decliners shed 9.76%, 9.64% and 8.33% of their share prices respectively.
Volume Drivers
Access Bank traded about 39.24 million units of its shares in 564deals, valued at N259 million.
