Nigerian Bourse dips further, closes 0.39% lower

The Nigerian equities market on Tuesday closed in red as the All Share Index drops further by 0.39% to close at 29,818.80 points against the previous close of 29,936.33 points on Monday.

Market capitalisation closed at N13.140 trillion, shedding N52 billion from the previous close of N13.192 trillion.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 2.91 million units valued at N11.2 billion in 3,324 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 20 stocks gained while 21 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Champions Breweries with 10% growth led other gainers to close at N1.32 from the previous close of N1.20.

NEM Insurance, Unity Bank, and Linkage Assurance also grew their share prices by 8.78%, 8.57% and 8.33% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Okomu Oil Palm and ABC Transport both shed 10% of their share prices to close at N66.60 and N0.27 respectively.

International Breweries and CAP Plc also both shed 9.97% of their share prices to close at N16.70 and N28.00 respectively.

Volume Drivers

Wema Bank traded about 2.4 billion units of its shares in 60 deals, valued at N1.48 billion.

Zenith Bank traded about 409.97million units of its shares in 341 deals, valued at N8.2 billion.
