Nigerian Bourse sustains uptrend as it closes 0.14% higher, Wednesday   

The Nigerian equities market on Wednesday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index grew further by 0.14% to close at 26,776.15 points from the previous close of 26,739.44 points on Tuesday.

The market capitalisation closed at N12.924 trillion, gaining N18 billion from the previous close of N12.906 trillion on Tuesday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 267.3 million units, valued at N3.05 billion in 4,074 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 24 stocks gained while 10 stocks declined in their share prices.

 

Percentage Gainers

Chams Plc with 10% growth led 23 other gainers to close at N0.33 from the previous close of N0.30.

Learn Africa, Conoil, Cornerstone Insurance and NPF Microfinance Bank among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.48%, 9.47%, 9.37% and 9.09% respectively.

 

Percentage Losers

NASCON and LASACO among other price decliners shed their share prices by 5.72% and 3.57% respectively.

Volume Drivers

  • Access Bank traded about 63.53 million units of its shares in 421 deals, valued at N643.7 million.
