Eight Stocks to watch as NSEASI grew by 0.62%, Thursday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Thursday closed in green as the All Share Index grew by 0.62% to close at 29,517.73 points against the previous close of 29,336.80 points on Wednesday.

Market capitalisation grew by 0.61% to close at N11.007 trillion from the previous close of N10.940 trillion, gaining N67 billion.

Volume and value of traded stocks grew by 59.75% and 39.45% to close at 375.24 million units and N3.02 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

Market breadth closed positive as 21 stocks gained against 16 stocks that lost.

Percentage Gainers

Law Union & Rock Insurance with 10% growth led other gainers to close at N0.55 from the previous close of N0.50

Julius Berger, Eterna Plc and Guaranty Trust Bank among other gainers grew 9.86%, 8.86% and 6.07% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Guiness led the losers’ chart, shedding 10% of its share price to close at N63 from the previous close of N70

NEM Insurance, UDPCRIET, Resort Savings & Loans, Linkage Assurance and NPF Microfinance Bank shed 9.95%, 9.85%, 9.76%, 9.72% and 9.38% of their share prices respectively.

Volume Drivers

  • Custodian Investment Plc traded about 120.27 million units of its shares in 29 deals, valued at about N697.6 million.
  • Access Bank traded about 60.48 million units of its shares in 396 deals, valued at about N317.38 million.
  • FBNH traded about 48.87 million units of its shares in 232 deals, valued at about N347.24 million.
