The Nigerian Bourse on Monday extends gains from the previous trading session as the All Share Index grew 0.30%, closing at 36,711.96 points as against 36,603.44 points of Friday thereby adding 108.520 points.
The Market capitalisation appreciated by N39 billion to close at N13.299 trillion from the previous close of N13.260 trillion implying an increase of 0.29%
The volume and value of traded stocks declined by 66.72% and 43.42% closing at 226.2 million units and N2.2 billion respectively.
Market Breadth
The market breadth for the day closed positive as 20 stocks gained against 18 that lost.
Percentage Gainers
Cutix Plc. led other percentage gainers closing 10.00% above the previous close of N3.00 to settle at N3.30.
Continental Reinsurance grew 6.00% and Wema Bank grew 5.80% ahead of other 17 stocks that made it to the green.
Percentage Losers
Abbey Mortgage Bank tops the losers’ chart losing 10.00% of its share price. This is followed by University Press, Forte Oil and UACN Property, all shedding 9.80%, 9.68% and 9.42% of their share prices respectively.
Volume Drivers
Medview Airline has the highest traded volume of about 100 million units, valued at about N214 million.
Zenith Bank also traded about 11million units of its shares in 305 deals, worth about N260 million.
