The Board of UACN PLC notified the regulatory body and the shareholders of the appointment of Mr. Ibikunle Ibiyinka Oriola as a new finance Director as released through NSE corporate disclosure and signed by the company secretary on March 8th, 2019 as follows:
“The Board of UAC of Nigeria PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ibikunle Ibiyinka Oriola as Group Finance Director”.
“Mr. Oriola is a seasoned professional with 17years experience gained from diverse functional roles covering finance, strategy, risk management and corporate finance”.
“He has provided strategic finance leadership driving transformational and growth agenda of conglomerate businesses spanning several sectors such as hospitality, real estate, power, agriculture and asset/funds management”.
“Ibikunle worked as Group Chief Finance Officer (CFO), Asset & Resource Management Holding Company Limited where he had oversight on the group’s finance function. Prior to that he was the Group CFO of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc responsible for executing a broad range of finance and ancillary roles”.
“Ibikunle has extended corporate finance experience gained as a transaction adviser working with Ecobank Capital and KPMG. He was seconded to KPMG UAE for 15 months in 2007 where he worked on several infrastructure finance projects”.
He also previously worked with Kakawa Discount House (Now FBN Merchant Bank) and Asset & Resource Management Company.
Ibikunle is an Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) qualified accountant with a. BSc degree in Finance from University of Lagos. He is an ICAN merit award winner.
Ibikunle is expected to deploy his rich experience to the development and implementation of appropriate finance strategies to uplift productivity and business performance across the UAC group
