The Nigerian stock market closed the year 2024 on a bullish note. It started the year 2025 on a positive note returning 1.42% week on week. Year to date, the market has returned 0.64% with the All Share Index and Market Capitalisation at 103,586.33 points and N63.166 trillion respectively.

The Outlook for 2025 is looking positive as there is likely stability in the Foreign Exchange, which will promote more presence of Foreign Investors. The recapitalisation of insurance runs positively to the insurance sector, and with the reduction of inflation to 15%, it will promote more activity in the capital market.

The recapitalisation of the insurance companies raised hope in the industry.

The trading down of PZ has to do with the demand and supply of the stocks.
