Stock Market declines as NSEASI settles 0.68% lower, Tuesday

The Nigerian Bourse on Tuesday extends decline from the previous trading session as the All Share Index declines 0.68% to close at 38,664.15 points against 38,928.02 points of the last trading session.

Market capitalization dropped by 0.68% to settle at N14.006 trillion against N14.102 trillion of the last trading indicating a loss of N96 billion.

Volume and value of traded stocks grew by 16.00% and 16.57%% to settle at 390.4 million units and N6.1 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

12 stocks closed positive against 34 that closed negative, bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.

Percentage Gainers

International Breweries led other percentage gainers closing 6.54% above the previous close of N41.30 to settle at N44.00

Japaul Oil grew 5.26%, C & I Leasing and Eterna gained 5.20% and 4.92%of their share prices ahead of other stocks on the gainers’ chart

Percentage Losers

PRESTIGE tops the losers’ chart losing 6.25% of its share price, while Union Diagnostic and Flour mills shed 5.00% and 4.89% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 35 million units of its shares in 427 deals, worth about N919 million.

UBA traded about 123 million units of its shares in 240 deals, valued at about N1.304 billion
