Stock Market declines, closes 0.52% lower, Friday

The Nigerian bourse on Friday closed in red as the All Share index declined by 0.52% to close at 36,499.67 points from the previous close of 36,688.91 points on Thursday.

 Consequently, Market capitalisation declined by 0.52%, closing at 13.322trillion from the previous close of N13.392 trillion, thereby shedding about N7 billion

Volume of traded stocks declined by 16.87% closing at 266.4 million units; while value appreciated by 20.47% to close at N4.26 billion.

Market Breadth

18 stocks gained while 28 stocks lost bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.

Percentage Gainers

 

Union Diagnostics, Beta Glass and Equity Assurance equally gained 10% above their share prices closing at N0.33, N85.8 and N0.22 respectively.

Neimeth, Regency Alliance and First Aluminum also grew 9.09%, 8.70%, and 8.11% respectively

Percentage Losers

 

Mutual Benefit tops the losers’ chart losing 9.76% of its share price, while Axamansard Insurance and CADBURY shed 9.43% and 8.88% respectively.

Volume Drivers

NACHO traded 59.601 million units of its shares, worth about N235 million.

FBNH traded about 17.287 million units of its shares as in 205 deals, valued at about N172.9 million
