NSEASI drops further, closes 0.61% lower, Thursday

The Nigerian Bourse on Thursday extends decline from the previous trading session as the All Share Index drops by 0.61% to close at 37,733.44 points from 37,963.93 points of Wednesday.

Market capitalisation also declined from N13.752 trillion on Wednesday to N13.669 trillion on Thursday, shedding about N83billion

Volume and value of traded stocks appreciated by 11.47% and 39.99%, closing at 414.9 million units and N4.45 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 16 stocks gained while 20 stocks lost

Percentage Gainers

Honeywell Flour led other percentage gainers closing 9.55% above the previous close of N2.20 to settle at N2.41

Law Union & Rock Insurance 9.30% closing at N0.94 from the previous close of N0.86. AIICO and WAPCO both also grew 5% each ahead other stocks on the gainers’ chart.

Percentage Losers

Equity Assurance tops the losers’ chart losing 4.55% of its share price, while Wema Bank and Diamond Bank shed 4.11% and 3.52% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank is the most actively traded stock of the day, trading about 26 million units of its shares in 381 deals worth about N651 million
