The Nigerian stock market last week closed on a bearish note as the All Share Index was down by 1.36%, closing at 98,233.76 points from 99,587.76 points recorded the previous week.
Market capitalization declined also by 1.35% to settle at N55.562 trillion from N56.323 trillion in the previous week.
An aggregate of 2.19 billion units of shares were traded in 45,277 deals, valued at N50.7 billion.
The market breadth closed positive as 40 stocks gained against 37 stocks that declined in their share prices.
TOP 10 GAINERS
TANTALIZER led other gainers in the course of last week with 27.78% growth, closing at N0.46 from the previous close of N0.36.
FTN COCOA, PRESCO, May & Baker and THE INITIATES grew their share prices by 20.00%, 15.31%, 15.00% and 15.00% respectively.
Other among the top 10 gainers include: Guinea Insurance 13.33%, OANDO 12.15%, JAPAULGOLD 12.11%, NGXGROUP 10.00% and Cornerstone Insurance 10.00% respectively.
TOP 10 LOSERS
PZ led other price decliners, shedding 27.75% of its share price to close at N3.20 from the previous close of N38.00.
MC NICHOLS, Secure Electronic Technology, International Breweries and MANSARD shed 20.18%, 16.95%, 15.27% and 12.90%respectively.
Other price decliners include: TRANSCORP (10.64%), Airtel Africa (10.32%), ETERNA (9.90%), Berger Paint (9.85%) and IMG (9.85%) respectively.
