Stock market closes bullish, up by 0.35%

The Nigerian stock market on Wednesday close bullish as the All Share Index was up by 0.35% to close at 55,801.14 points from the previous close of 55,603.94 points.

The Market Capitalisation grew by 0.35% to close at N30.398 trillion from the previous close of N30.290 trillion, thereby adding N108 billion.

An aggregate of 152.7 million units of shares were traded in 3,293 deals, valued at N3.57 billion.

The Market Breadth closed balance as 18 equities emerged as gainers against 18 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Transnational Express led other gainers with 9.88% growth to close at N0.89 from the previous close of 0.81.

CUTIX, FTN Cocoa and Sovereign Trust Insurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.50%, 7.69% and 7.14% respectively.

Percentage Losers

MRS led other price decliners as it shed 9.98% of its share price to close at N27.95 from the previous close of N31.05.

ABC Transport, CHAMS and ARDOVA among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 7.89%, 7.41% and 6.20% respectively.

Volume Drivers

UBA traded about 15 million units of its shares in 162 deals, valued at N127 million.

GTCO traded about 12.7 million units of its shares in 227 deals, valued at N335.9 million.

Dangote Cement traded about 7 million units of its shares in 101 deals, valued at N2 billion.
