The Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu died on Wednesday December 27, 2023 at the age of 67. He died while receiving treatment for protracted prostate cancer.
Akeredolu was serving his second-term as Ondo state Governor before his demise. Prior to becoming a Governor, Akeredolu was a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), ex-president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and ex-Attorney General of Ondo State.
The state’s Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, announced the governor’s death in a statement.
