NSEASI Sustains three straight sessions of gains, closes 0.50% higher, Monday

The Nigerian Bourse on Monday extends its winning streak to three as the All Share Index grew 0.50%, closing at 29,979.89 points as against 29,830.70 points of Friday thereby adding 149.190 points to close the day trading.

The Market capitalisation appreciated by N56 billion to close at N11.180 trillion from the previous close of N11.124 trillion implying an increase of 0.50%

The volume and value of traded stocks declined by 53.87% and 77.19% closing at 95.1 million units and N626.8 million respectively.

Market Breadth

The market breadth for the day closed positive as 11 stocks gained against 7 that lost.

Percentage Gainers

UCAP Plc. led other percentage gainers closing 5.30% above the previous close of N2.83 to settle at N2.98.

Mutual Benefit grew 5.00% and Royal Exchange grew 4.76% ahead of other 8 stocks that made it to the green.

Percentage Losers

Linkage Assurance tops the losers’ chart losing 9.23% of its share price. This is followed by Resort Savings & Loan, Jaizbank and LASACO, all shedding 8.11%, 5.66% and 3.33% of their share prices.

Volume Drivers

Access Bank traded about 16million units of its shares in 149 deals, valued at about N91 million.

Zenith Bank also traded about 10million units of its shares in 254 deals, worth about N225 million.
