NSEASI dips further, closes 0.22% lower

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday closed lower by 0.22% as the All Share Index sheds 61.68 points to close at 28,422.76 points from the previous close of 28,484.44 points on Monday.

Market capitalisation closed at N10.678 trillion, shedding N23 billion from the previous close of N10.701 trillion on Monday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks for the day was 200 million units, valued at N2.69 billion in 3,600 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 20 stocks gained while 16 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

Neimeth, Courtville and Thomas Wyatt among other gainers grew their share prices by 9.09%, 8.33% and 8.00% respectively.

Percentage Losers

University Press tops the decliners’ list, shedding 9.73% of its share price to close at N1.67 from the previous close of N1.85.

Royal Exchange Assurance and Chams Plc also both shed 8.33% of their share prices to close at N0.22 and N0.33 respectively.

Volume Drivers

Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 33.11 million units of its shares in 367 deals, valued at N1.029 billion.
