NSEASI dips further, closes 0.19% lower, Thursday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Thursday closed in red as the All Share Index declined further by 0.19%, closing at 36,232.66 points from the previous close of 36,299.82 points on Wednesday.

Market capitalisation also declined by 0.17%, closing at N13.228 trillion as against the previous close of N13.250 trillion on Wednesday.

Volume and value of traded stocks appreciated by 65.09% and 76.85%, to close at 118.3 million units and N1.29 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

12 stocks closed positive while 22 stocks lost, bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.

Percentage Gainers

Courteville Business Solutions Plc led other price percentage gainers, closing 10% above the previous close of N0.20 to settle at N0.22

Sterling Bank grew 9.56% closing at N1.49 from the previous close of N1.36

Niger Insurance and Mutual Benefit also grew 8.33% and 7.14% respectively ahead other stocks on the gainers’ chart

Percentage Losers

Linkage Assurance, Law Union, Vitafoam, Japaul and Veritas Kapital all shed 10% of their share prices, leading the losers’ chart.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 19.9million units of its shares in 275 deals, valued at N471.39 million
