The Market capitalisation declined by 0.02% to stand at N15.173 trillion against the previous close of N15.176 trillion thereby shedding N3 billion at the close of trade.
Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 315 million units, rose by 15.70% against the previous close of 272 million units.
The value of traded stocks declined by 1.97%, closing at N3.6 billion against the previous close of N3.7 billion.
Total number of deals at the close of trade was 4,392, down by 11.18% against the previous close of 4,945 deals on Tuesday.
Market Breadth
The market Breadth closed negative as 15 stocks gained while 18 stocks declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Law union led the gainers’ list with 10% growth for the third time in a row to close at N0.66 from the previous close of N0.60
AIICO, Honeywell flour and CUTIX among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.64%, 8.33% and 5.15% respectively
Percentage Losers
Julius Berger tops the price decliners list, shedding 6.76% of its share price to close at N20.00 below its previous close of N21.45
NASCON, COURTVILLE and TRANSCORP among other price decliners also shed 4.46%, 4.17% and 3.74% respectively.
Volume Drivers
Access traded about 60 million units of its shares in 617 deals, valued at about N600 million.
Guaranty traded about 26 million units of its shares in 318 deals, valued at about N849 million.
Zenith Bank traded about 25 million units of its shares in 465 deals, valued at N564 million.
