The Nigerian equities market on Friday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index rose by 0.37% to close at 27,525.81 points from the previous close of 27,425.57 points on Thursday.
Market capitalisation closed at N13.391 trillion, gaining N49 billion from the previous close of N13.342 trillion on Thursday.
Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 124.78 million units, valued at N1.8 billion in 3,089 deals.
Market Breadth
The market breadth closed positive as 21 stocks gained while 17 stocks declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
UACN led the gainers’ list, gaining 9.89% to close at N5.00 from the previous close of N4.55.
Sterling Bank, Stanbic IBTC and Unity Bank among others also grew their share prices by 9.17%, 8.57% and 7.69% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Glaxosmith, Royal Exchange Assurance and Continental Reinsurance among other price decliners shed 9.43%, 9.09% and 7.64% of their share prices respectively.
