Nigerian Bourse sheds N21bn, closes lower by 0.16%

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday closed in red as the All Share Index declined by 0.16% to close at 26,513.65 points against the previous close of 26,557.44 points on Monday.

Market Capitalisation closed at N12.907 trillion, shedding N21 billion from the previous close of N12.928 trillion on Monday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 174.4 million units, valued at N2.32 billion in 2,484 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 7 stocks gained while 13 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

NAHCO led 6 other gainers with 5.15% growth, closing at N2.45 from the previous close of N2.33.

CCNN, UCAP and Fidson grew their share prices by 4.28%, 3.45% and 1.27% respectively. FBNH, UACN and Access Bank also grew their share prices 0.95%, 0.75% and 0.68% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Glaxosmith and Courteville among other prices decliners shed their share prices by 9.86% and 9.09% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Access Bank traded about 27.28 million units of its shares in 176 deals, valued at N201.5 million.

Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 24.6 million units of its shares in 166 deals, valued at N655.8 million.
