Nigerian Bourse rebounds, closes 0.15% higher, Wednesday

The Nigerian equities market on Wednesday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index rose by 0.15% to close at 29,193.42 points from the previous close of 29,149.46 points on Tuesday.

The Market Capitalisation closed at N10.965 trillion against the previous close of N10.949 trillion, gaining N16 billion.

Aggregate volume and value of traded stocks closed at 481.63 million units and N2.88 billion in 3,559 deals.

Market Breadth

The Market Breadth closed positive as 24 stocks gained while 18 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

Livestock Feeds with 10% growth led other gainers to close at N0.55 from the previous close of N0.50

Custodian Investment and Learn Africa also grew their share prices by 9.84 % and 8.96% respectively among others on the gainers’ list.

Percentage Losers

Cutix Plc and GSK top the losers’ list, both shedding 10% of their share prices respectively.

PZ and Ikeja Hotels among other price decliners also shed 9.69% and 9.29% of their share prices respectively.

Volume Driver

  • Transcorp Plc traded about 174.55 million units of its shares in 102 deals, valued at N200.6 million.
  • Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 22.89 million units of its shares in 280 deals, valued at N758.5 million.
