Nigerian Bourse gains N45bn, returns 0.16% WtD

The Nigerian stock market closed higher last week, driven by gains in the prices of PRESCO, Airtel Africa, NESTLE and other 36 stocks, led by International Energy Insurance.
The All Share Index and Market capitalization rose by 0.16% to settle at 52,594.68 points and N28.647 trillion respectively.
An aggregate of 1.24 billion units of shares were traded in 18,560 deals, valued at N15.668 billion.
The market breadth closed positive as 39 stocks gained against 30 stocks that declined in their share prices.

GAINERS


International Energy Insurance led other gainers in the course of last week with 28.95% growth, closing at N0.49 from the previous close of N0.38.
MRS, NAHCO, Sunu Assurance and Abbey Building grew their share prices by 13.48%, 12.86%, 12.12% and 9.80% respectively.
Other top 10 gainers include: PRESCO 9.68%, CWG 9.47%, CAVERTON 9.38%, JOHNHOLT 9.09% and Cornerstone Insurance 9.09% respectively.

LOSERS
Livestock Feeds led other price decliners, shedding 13.85% of its share price to close at N1.12 from the previous close of N1.30.
C & I Leasing, UPDC, Sovereign Trust Insurance and International Breweries shed 10.00%, 9.62%, 7.14% and 7.00% respectively.
Other price decliners include: GEREGU (6.85%), Royal Exchange (6.59%), Mutual Benefits (6.25%), Zenith Bank (4.31%) and PZ (4.27%) respectively.
