NGXASI closes lower, down by 0.18%

The Nigerian Stock Exchange on Wednesday closed lower as The All Share Index was down by 0.18% to close at 104,187.00 points from the previous close of 104,376.73 points.

Investors’ wealth dropped by N119 billion as the Market Capitalisation declined by 0.18% to close at N65.470 trillion from the previous close of N65.589 trillion.

At the close of trade on Wednesday, an aggregate of 376.6 million units of shares were traded in 11,576 deals, valued at N11.9 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 33 equities emerged as gainers against 23 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Livestock Feeds and VFDGROUP led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N8.03 and N72.60 from the previous close of N7.30 and N66.00 respectively.

NGXGROUP and WAPIC among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.86% and 9.60% respectively.

Percentage Losers

HMCALL and LEARNAFRICA led the price decliners’ table as they shed 10.00% of their share prices to close at N5.22 and N2.97 from the previous close of N5.80 and N3.30 respectively.

Ecobank, PZ and UNILEVER among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.90%, 9.88% and 9.75% respectively.

Volume Drivers

GTCO traded about 63 million units of its share, valued at about N4 billion.

ACCESSCORP traded 51 million units of its shares, valued at about N1 million.

Zenith Bank traded about 32 million units of its shares, valued at N1.5 billion.
