The Kano State Government has announced its intention to partner Egypt investors on a meat processing project in the state.
The Acting Governor, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar made this known to the investors at the Government House, last week Tuesday, in Kano.
Abubakar commended the investors for selecting Kano amongst the 36 states of the federation to invest, adding that the proposal was in line with the State government’s target.
While speaking, he said “Your coming at this hour is very significant and fruitful. Meat processing is one of the greatest investments which have the capability to create more jobs for the teeming youths,”
The leader of the delegation, former Egyptian Minister of Investment, Mr. Assem Ragab disclosed that they were in the state to examine the viability of establishing a meat processing firm to promote the economy of the state.
The project was introduced by academic group drawn from universities and independent research organizations all over the northern part of the country
