Investors gain N62bn as NSEASI inches up by 0.48%, Friday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Friday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index rose by 0.48% to close at 26,314.49 points from the previous close of 26,188.24 points on Thursday.

The market capitalisation closed at N12.810 trillion, gaining N62 billion from the previous close of N12.748 trillion.

Aggregate volume closed at 432.47 million units, valued at N5.58 billion in 4,002 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 19 stocks gained against 12 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Law Union & Rock Insurance and Custodian Investment Plc both led the gainers’ list with 10% growth, closing at N0.55 and N5.50 respectively.

Access Bank grew its share price by 9.52% to close at N9.20 from the previous close of N8.40.

Honeywell Flour, Fidson, FCMB and FBNH among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.89%, 7.69%, 7.51% and 7.41% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Unilever, Ikeja Hotel and International Breweries among other prices decliners shed their share prices by 9.47%, 9.35% and 8.29% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 127.3 million units of its shares in 714 deals, valued at N2.2 billion.
