Investors gain N26bn as NSEASI closes 0.19% higher

The Nigerian stock market on Friday closed on a positive as the All Share Index rose by 0.19% to close at 27,698.69 points against the previous close of 27,646.15 points on Thursday.

 

Market Capitalisation closed at N13.484 trillion, gaining N26 billion from the previous close of N13.458 trillion on Thursday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 177.57 million units, valued at N5.92 billion in 3,484 deals.

Market Breadth

Market Breadth closed positive as 17 stocks gained while 16 declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Cutix Plc led other gainers with 9.86% growth to close at N1.56 form the previous close of N1.42.

University Press, Unity Bank, Caverton and Stanbic IBTC among others also grew their share prices by 9.52%, 7.94%, 7.66% and 7.26% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Portland Paints led the price decliners as it sheds 9.72% of its share price to close at N2.23 from the previous close of N2.47.

Eternal Oil and ABC Transport among other price decliners both shed their share prices by 8.33% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Nigerian Breweries traded about 28.1 million units of its shares in 82 deals, valued at N1.476 billion.
