Skye Bank led 17 other stocks, as market gains 0.63%, Friday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Friday closed in green as All Share Index extends gains from the previous trading session to close at 35,426.21 points from 35,206.16 points, advancing by 0.63%.

Market capitalisation grew by 0.62%, closing at N12.933 trillion from the previous close of N12.853 trillion on Thursday.

Volume of traded stocks grew by 139.11%% closing at 527.7 million units from the previous close of 220.7 million units.  Value of traded stocks also grew by and 78.81%, to close at N4.53 billion from the previous close of N2.53 billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 18 stocks gained while 15 stocks lost

Percentage Gainers

Skye Bank led other percentage gainers, gaining 9.62% to close at N0.57 from the previous close of N0.52.

AIRSERVICE, Japaul Oil and NEM Insurance gained 9.28%, 8.33% and 5.26% respectively among others.

Percentage Losers

University Press (UPL) led other percentage losers, shedding 10% of its share price.

Africa Prudential Plc, Regency Alliance and WAPIC Insurance also shed 8.64%, 8.33%, 8.11% respectively among other stocks on the losers’ chart

Volume Drivers

The most actively traded stock for the day was UBA, trading about 235.7 million units of its shares in 298 deals, valued at N1.89 billion.
