NSEASI declines further, closes 0.06% lower

The Nigerian stock market on Thursday closed in red as the All Share Index declines further by 0.06% to close at 26,456.29 points against the previous close of 26,472.20 points on Wednesday.

Market Capitalisation closed at N12.879 trillion, shedding N8 billion from the previous close of N12.887 trillion on Wednesday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 144.09 million units, valued at N2.9 billion in 2,347 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 11 stocks gained while 8 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Wapic Insurance led the gainers’ list with 9.37% growth, closing at N0.35 from the previous close of N0.32.

Chams Plc and FCMB among others also grew their share prices by 9.09% and 6.92% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Cornerstone Insurance led others on the price decliners list, shedding 8.11% of its share price to close at N0.34 from the previous close of N0.37 on Wednesday.

UBA, Wema Bank and Guaranty Trust Bank among others also shed their share prices by 2.52%, 1.69% and 1.30% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 35.2 million units of its shares in 199 deals, valued at N946.7 million.
