Nigerian Bourse sheds more weight as NSEASI dips further by 0.16%, Wednesday

The Nigerian equities market on Wednesday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index dropped by 0.16% to close at 26,472.20 points against the previous close of 26,513.65 points on Tuesday.

Market Capitalisation closed at N12.887 trillion, shedding N20 billion from the previous close of N12.907 trillion on Tuesday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 138.47 million units, valued at N3.6 billion in 2,487 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 13 stocks gained while 11 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Law Union & Rock Insurance led the gainers’ list with 9.09% growth, closing at N0.48 from the previous close of N0.44.

Livestock Feeds and Courteville among others also grew their share prices by 6.38% and 5% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Wapic Insurance, Chams Plc and Sterling Bank among other price decliners shed their share prices by 8.57%, 8.33% and 7.69% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Access Bank traded about 20.7 million units of its shares in 151 deals, valued at N152.36 million.
