UCAP leads gainers as stock market closes flat

The Nigerian stock market on Tuesday closed somewhat flat as the All Share Index closed at 39,251.29 points from the previous close of 39,252.89 points.

The Market Capitalisation stands at N20.451 trillion at the close of trade, same as N20.451 trillion recorded the previous day.

An aggregate of 355.94 million units of shares were traded in 4,241 deals, valued at N2.87 billion.

The Market Breadth closed negative as 15 equities appreciated in their share prices against 21 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

UCAP led other gainers with 8.00% growth, closing at N8.10 from the previous close of N7.50.

International Breweries, Honeywell Flour and Oando among other gainers also grew their share prices by 7.53%, 6.67%% and 6.02% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Cornerstone Insurance led other price decliners as it shed 8.77 of its share price, closing at N0.52 from the previous close of N0.57.

Universal Insurance, Ecobank and NEM Insurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 4.76%, 4.55% and 4.50% respectively.

Volume Drivers

FBNH traded about 92.29 million units of its shares in 158 deals, valued at N687.73 million.

Access Bank traded about 75.69 million units of its shares in 450 deals valued at N711.91 million.

Universal Insurance traded about 25.25 million units of its shares in 52 deals, valued at N5.05 million.
