Trading remains upbeat on NGX as ASI closes 0.17% higher

Trading activities on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange on Monday remained upbeat as the All-Share Index closed 0.17% higher to settle at 48,543.36 points compared with 48,459.965 points recorded last Friday.

The market capitalisation grew by N45 billion or 0.17% to close at N26.170 trillion, from N26.125 trillion recorded in the previous session.

Aggregate volume and value of traded stocks settled at 328 million units and N4 billion in 5,711 deals. 

Market Breadth

Market Breadth closed positive as 43 stocks gained against 16 stocks that lost at the end of the day’s trading

Percentage Gainers

UPDCREIT led the gainers chart with 10.00% growth to close at N3.85 from the previous close of N3.50.

Ikeja Hotel, Eterna Oil and Oando also made it to the green table, gaining 9.93%, 9.92% and 9.90% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Unity Bank tops the price decliners’ list, shedding 6.00% of its share price to close at N0.47 from N0.50.

Still on the red table are; Academy Press, JAPAULGOLD and UPDC all shedding 5.98%, 5.88% and 4.49% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 36 million units of its shares in 348 deals, valued at about N912 million.

Oando traded about 31 million units of its shares in 301 deals, valued at about N138 million.
