Three stocks to watch as Nigerian Bourse closes 1.07% higher, Wednesday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Wednesday closed in green as the All Share Index grew further by 1.07% to close at 30,460.68 points against the previous close of 30,137.53 points.

Market capitalisation grew by 1.07% to closing at N11.359 trillion from the previous close of N11.239 trillion, thereby gaining N120 billion.

Volume of traded stocks grew by 1.92% to close at 305.8 million units while value of traded stocks declined by 35.27% to close at N2.1 billion

Market Breadth

The market breadth for the day closed positive as 24 stocks gained against 16 that lost.

Percentage Gainers

Sovereign Trust Insurance and Veritas kapital led other percentage gainers with 10% growth both closing at N0.22.

Guinness grew 9.65% to close at N71 from the previous close of N64.75.

NEM and Honeywell Flour both grew 9.57% to close at N2.06 and N1.26 respectively..

Percentage Losers

BETA Glass tops the losers’ chart, shedding 10%% of its share price to close at N60.30 from the previous close of N67

Northern Nigerian Flour Mills (NNFM), Resort Savings and Loans and PZ shed 9.20%, 8.82% and 8.33% of their share prices respectively among others on the losers’ chart.

 Volume Drivers

  • Diamond Bank traded about 141.23 million units of its shares in 229 deals, valued at N296.6 million.
  • Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 17.44 million units of its shares in 297 deals, valued at N577.7 million
