Stock market sustains uptrend with 0.10% growth

Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Monday closed on positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.10% to close at 42,394.71 points from the previous close of 42,353.31 points.  

Investors gained N22 billion as the Market Capitalization grew by 0.10% to close at N22.129 trillion from the previous close of N22.107 trillion.

An aggregate of 142.17 million units of shares were traded in 3,749 deals, valued at N2.486 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 21 equities emerged as gainers against 11 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Neimeth led the gainers chart with 9.82% growth, closing at N1.79 from the previous close of N1.63.

UPDC and Royal Exchange among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.43% and 8.70% respectively.

Percentage Losers

C&I Leasing led other price decliners as as it sheds 8.70% of its share price to close at N4.20 from the previous close of N4.60.

Consolidated Hallmark Insurance and Coronation Insurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 6.90% and 5.88% respectively.  

Volume Drivers

FBNH traded about 20.19 million units of its shares in 204 deals, valued at N244.72 million.

GTCO traded about 10.575 million units of its shares in 576 deals, valued at N270.91million.

Sovereign Trust Insurance traded about 10.106 million units of its shares in 9 deals, valued at N2.42 million.
