Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Monday closed on a positive note, driven by growth in the share prices of SEPLAT and other stock on the green table.
The All Share Index rose by 0.63% to close at 98,690.61 points from the previous close of 98,070.28 points.
The Market Capitalisation appreciated by 0.63% to close at N59.801 trillion from the previous close of N59.425 trillion, thereby gaining N376 billion.
An aggregate of 405 million units of shares were traded in 8,281 deals, valued at N27.57 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 31 equities appreciated in their share prices against 17 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
DAAR COMMUNICATION and Ikeja Hotel led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N0.66 from the previous close of N0.60.
SEPLAT and PZ among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.99% and 9.90% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Regency Alliance led other price decliners as it shed 8.20% of its share price to close at N0.56 from the previous close of N0.61.
Secure Electronic Technology and C & I Leasing among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 6.45% and 5.01% respectively.
Volume Drivers
UBA traded about 138 million units of its shares in 786 deals, valued at about N3.6 billion.
ACCESSCORP traded about 30 million units of its shares in 450 deals, valued at N598.9 million.
Sterling Bank traded about 40 million units of its shares in 108 deals, valued at about N193 million.
