The All Share Index appreciated by 0.75% to close at 43,036.23 points from the previous close of 42,716.44 points.
The Market Capitalisation grew by 0.75% to close at N22.464 trillion from the previous close of N22.296 trillion, thereby gaining N168 billion.
An aggregate of 216.65 million units of shares were traded in 4,080 deals, valued at N1.52 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 18 equities emerged as gainers against 27 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Academy Press led other gainers with 10% growth, closing at N0.55 from the previous close of N0.50.
Wema Bank and Cornerstone Insurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.72% and 8.70% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Ardova, Vitafoam and Northern Nigerian Flour Mills led other price decliners as they shed 10% of their share prices to close at N11.70, N20.25 and N7.20 respectively.
Chams Plc and Sunu Assurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.09% and 8.89% respectively.
Volume Drivers
Chams Plc traded about 29.865 million units of its shares in 31 deals, valued at N6.08 million.
Wema Bank traded about 17.111 million units of its shares in 60 deals, valued at N13.31 million.
Zenith Bank traded about 11.035 million units of its shares in 321 deals, valued at N278.22 million.
