It was yet another bearish session on the floor of the Nigerian stock market on Monday as uptrend extended to two consecutive sessions.
The All Share Index rose by 0.62% to close at 106,698.50 points from the previous close of 106,042.57 points.
The Market Capitalisation was up by 0.62% to close at N67.060 trillion from the previous close of N66.648 trillion, growing by N412 billion.
An aggregate of 569 million units of shares were traded in 18,612 deals, valued at N18.9 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 35 equities emerged as gainers against 29 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
BETAGLASS led other gainers with 9.97% growth to close at N120.75 from the previous close of 109.80.
THE INITIATES, CADBURY and CAVERTON among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.90%, 9.87% and 9.77% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Ecobank led other price decliners as it shed 9.62% of its share price to close at N23.50 from the previous close of N26.00.
MEYER and CUSTODIAN among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 6.70% and 4.72% respectively.
Volume Drivers
FIRSTHOLDCO traded about 106 million units of its shares in 404 deals, valued at about N2.64 million.
GTCO traded about 87 million units of its shares in 1,043 deals, valued at N5.5 billion.
ACCESSCORP traded about 43 million units of its shares in 1,184 deals, valued at N919 million.
