It was yet another bearish session on the floor of Nigerian stock market, occasioned by weight shedding in prices of PRESCO and other 23 stocks. The All Share Index dipped by 0.13% to close at 52,911.51 points from the previous close of 52,979.96 points.
The Market Capitalisation closed at N28.525 trillion, down by 0.13% from the previous close of N28.562 trillion, thereby shedding N37 billion.
An aggregate of 263 million units of shares were traded in 4,856 deals, valued at N3.549 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 22 equities emerged as gainers against 24 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Conoil led other gainers with 9.95% growth, closing at N34.35 from the last close of N31.15 on Friday.
MRS, MCNICHOLS and Academy Press among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.93%, 9.83% and 9.76% respectively.
Percentage Losers
PRESCO led other price decliners, shedding 10.00% of its share price to close at N180.00 from the previous close of N200.00.
Global Spectrum Energy Services Plc and NEIMETH among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.97% and 9.66% respectively.
Volume Drivers
GTCO traded about 13 million units of its shares in 320 deals, valued at N302.8 million.
TRANSCORP traded about 13 million units of its shares in 175 deals, valued at N16.7 million.
ACCESSCORP traded about 11.7 million units of its shares in 179 deals, valued at N115.7 million.
