It was a bearish session on the floor of the Nigerian stock market on Tuesday as the All Share Index declined by 0.12% to close at 97,260.39 points from the previous close of 97,373.94 points.
The Market Capitalisation was down also by 0.12% to close at N58.935 trillion from the previous close of N59.004 trillion, thereby shedding N69 billion.
An aggregate of 350 million units of shares were traded in 10,224 deals, valued at N9 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 20 equities emerged as gainers against 29 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
EUNISELL led other gainers with 9.98% growth to close at N9.92 from the previous close of N9.02
JOHNHOLT, Sunu Assurance and Universal Insurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.89%, 9.71% and 6.25% respectively.
Percentage Losers
VFDGROUP led other gainers with 10.00% growth to close at N40.50 from the previous close of N45.00
Royal Exchange, OANDO and THOMASWYAT among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.68%, 9.42% and 8.85% respectively.
Volume Drivers
UCAP Bank traded about 77 million units of its shares in 1,202 deals, valued at N1.18 billion
ACCESSCORP traded about 26 million units of its shares in 498 deals, valued at N624 million.
UBA traded about 23 million units of its shares in 502 deals, valued at N723 million.
