The Nigerian Exchange on Friday closed on a bullish note as the All Share Index rose by 0.57% to close at 43,854.42 points from the previous close of 43,607.94 points.
Investors gained N131bn as the Market Capitalisation grew by 0.56% to close at N23.628 trillion from the previous close of N23.497 trillion.
At the close of trade on Friday, an aggregate of 395.15 million units were traded in 3,923 deals, valued at N12 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 31 equities emerged as gainers while 9 equities declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Corner Stone Insurance and Meyer Plc led other gainers with 10.00% growth each, to close at N0.55 from the previous close of N0.50 respectively.
ARDOVA, BUA FOODS, PZ, CWG, JAPAUL GOLD and ABC Transport above other gainers also grew their share prices by over 9.00%.
Percentage Losers
Consolidated Hallmark Insurance led other price decliners as it shed 9.59% of its share price to close at N0.66 from the previous close of N0.73
Sovereign Trust Insurance and UPDC among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 7.14% and 3.28% respectively
Volume Drivers
BUA Foods traded about 204.60 million units of its share in 180 deals, valued at N10 billion.
GTCO traded 25.68 million units of its shares in 326 deals, valued at N663 million.
Zenith Bank traded about 11.98 million units of its shares in 344 deals, valued at N304 million.
