Stock market closes flat with negative breadth

The Nigerian stock market on Monday closed flat amidst weight shedding in 18 stocks as the All Share Index closed at 44,269.43 points from the previous close of 44,269.18 points.  

The Market Capitalisation closed at N24.112 trillion, same as what it closed the previous session on Friday.

An aggregate of 103 million units of shares were traded in 3,206 deals, valued at N2.14 billion.

The Market Breadth closed negative as 11 equities emerged as gainers against 18 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Royal Exchange led other price gainers with 9.72% growth, closing at N0.79 and N0.72 respectively.

CUTIX and UCAP among other gainers also grew their share prices by 6.83% and 5.73% respectively.

Percentage Losers

LEARNAFRICA led other price decliners as it sheds 9.52% of its share price to close at N1.52 from the previous close of N1.68.

RT BRISCOE, Cornerstone Insurance and FTN Cocoa among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.09%, 9.09% and 8.82% respectively.  

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 15 million units of its shares in 261 deals, valued at N301 million.

GEREGU traded about 11 million units of its shares in 28 deals, valued at N1.2 billion.

GTCO traded about 8.8 million units of its shares in 428 deals, valued at N156 million.
