Stock market closes flat as 22 equities emerge as gainers

The Nigerian stock market on Tuesday closed on a flat note as the All Share Index closed at 41,814.94 points from the previous close of 41,814.74 points.  

The Market Capitalisation closed at N21.821 trillion, same as what it closed the previous day.

An aggregate of 353.23 million units of shares were traded in 5,322 deals, valued at N5.57 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 22 equities emerged as gainers against 21 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Universal Insurance and University Press led other price decliners with 10% growth, closing at N0.22 and N1.65 respectively.

Courteville and Abbey Mortgage Bank among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.76% and 9.30% respectively.

Percentage Losers

ABC Transport led other price decliners as it sheds 8.82% of its share price to close at N0.31 from the previous close of N0.34.

FTN Cocoa and Cutix Plc among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 6.25% and 5.47% respectively.  

Volume Drivers

FBNH traded about 73.06 million units of its shares in 545 deals, valued at N906.75 million.

GTCO traded about 25.04 million units of its shares in 279 deals, valued at N715.26 million.

Universal Insurance traded about 22.77 million units of its shares in 35 deals, valued at N4.92 million.
