Stock market closes bullish, up by 0.16%

The Nigerian stock market on Wednesday closed bullish as the All Share Index grew by 0.16% to close at 97,418.83 points from the previous close of 97,260.39 points.

The Market Capitalisation grew by 0.16% to close at N59.031 trillion from the previous close of N58.935 trillion, thereby adding N96 billion.

An aggregate of 237 million units of shares were traded in 8,305 deals, valued at N7.5 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 30 equities emerged as gainers against 19 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

International Energy Insurance led other gainers with 10.00% growth to close at N1.32 from the previous close of N1.20.

JOHNHOLT, EUNISELL and THOMASWYAT among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.98%, 9.88% and 9.71% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Regency Alliance led other price decliners as it shed 10.00% of its share price to close at N0.45 from the previous close of N0.50.

DAAR COMMUNICATION and Sovereign Trust Insurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 7.46% and 6.35% respectively.

Volume Drivers

UBA traded about 24 million units of its shares in 522 deals, valued at N761 million.

ACCESSCORP traded about 40 million units of its shares in 490 deals, valued at N979.6 million.

Fidelity traded about 21 million units of its shares in 225 deals, valued at N312.6 million
